An “ice polo” is a golf polo made from SolTek ICE — SanSoleil’s permanent cooling fabric that lowers your skin temperature and blocks UV rays, without ever washing out. The name comes straight from what the fabric does: it keeps you cool, hole after hole, round after round.

How SolTek ICE Actually Works

Most “cooling” claims on activewear fade after a few washes. SolTek ICE is built differently:

Permanent cooling — Nano Tech fibers reduce body temperature, and the effect doesn’t wash out over time

Permanent UPF 50 protection — built into the yarn itself, not a topical treatment

Wicking and quick-dry — sweat evaporates fast, which actually enhances the fabric’s cooling effect

Melange heather effect — twisting two color yarns together creates a rich, textured look that’s more interesting than a flat solid

Sport stretch — a poly/spandex blend that moves with your swing instead of fighting it

Many of our Ice Polo styles also feature a three-button placket with a higher neck stand, which adds an extra layer of sun protection right at the back of the neck — one of the areas people forget to protect and regret later.

Who It’s For

If you run hot mid-round, play in peak afternoon sun, or just want a shirt that still feels cool on hole 18 the way it did on hole 1, an Ice Polo is built for exactly that. It works just as well for tennis as it does for golf.
